'Tis the season for a concert or two...

Day Sixty-Two: 12/5/2022

I love, absolutely LOVE an uneventful day. I spent the entire weekend packing and moving. Then, last night I only slept for three hours. THREE! I’m surprised that I was able to get myself to work today. It was a little embarrassing that I fell asleep at the computer while checking my email.

I thought there was a concert tonight. There was something happening in the concert hall, but nothing formal. Found out it was actually vocal auditions. For what, couldn't tell you, but tonight was the only night that we didn't have a formal event for the whole week. I was grateful for the lack-luster evening. I was too exhausted to actually deal with a large group of people.

Day Sixty-Three: 12/6/2022

Major eye roll. I still don’t understand the fascination with putting things in the toilet. Well, other than the human waist that is supposed to go in the porcelain receptacle. I don’t believe that black shirts should be shoved into the tubular opening submerged underwater. It continues to baffle me that I’m required to pull something out as if I’m opening a present on Christmas Day.

The choir had a wonderfully attended concert. Security was diligent to ensure that the students were not harassing my area with their shenanigans. I appreciated the assistance because I don’t have the time to also be the hall monitor along with the made for the building.

Day Sixty-Four: 12/7/2022

Another day, another wonderful evening of events. It is going to be a very busy week. I was still so annoyed from yesterday that I needed to amp up my look for the day. Wore my metal laurel band with a simple bun. I know I shouldn't hold such a disdain for the silly antics of children, but I feel that these younger generations are lacking etiquette, poise, and a sense of decency in this day and age. I say this as an overall observation. The culture of modern day humans is seriously missing proper decorum.

Day Sixty-Five: 12/8/2022

Three events! There are three events tonight and I'm so envious of everyone. I'd certainly rather listen to great music, watch a play, or view amateurs' filmmaking over sweeping and mopping. Oh well, the life of a janitor. I'm obligated to keep the institution as clean as possible. Not always easy when there are hundreds of students, parents, and faculty roaming the halls.

At least tomorrow is Thursday!

Day Sixty-Six: 12/9/2022

The lighting was right and I was certainly feeling my look of the day. I was so astonished by my look that I couldn't decide on which picture to post on social media. So, I had to post all of them. I really can't resist fantastic lighting. My own personal spotlight from the sun. There are multiple events again tonight. I had to setup and clean the hallways prior the guests arrival.

Except, there were many that hindered my evening's work.

I HATE having to scold the children. I despise it! I barely want to talk to them, because I’m afraid of saying the wrong thing and then it could come back at me. I also don't want to be an individual that has to reprimand others. I only desire to be the fun fairy. The frivolously festive friend to others.
